Book Review: Good Birders Don't Wear White

Good Birders Don't Wear White: 50 Tips from North America's Top Birders edited by Lisa White was published in 2007. It is--as its title says--50 tips from North America's top birders. The book is filled with articles by birders such as master pisher Pete Dunne, guide book author Kenn Kaufmann, TV hosts Don and Lillian Stokes, tour leader Victor Emmanuel, author and artist David Sibley, artist, writer and NPR commentator Julie Zickerfoose, and many more. Major birder celebs. They are informative and often funny. It is divided in to sections containing articles about backyard bird feeding, birding clothing, identifying birds, birding tours, bird checklists, and more. This is a terrific little book 261 pages long with an index to help you find information. Buy it on Amazon by clicking on the link below, or check out the Orange County Library. Aliso Viejo Library, Costa Mesa Library, Fountain Valley Library, Irvine University Park Library, and Rancho Santa Margarita Library all have a copy you can check out of the library. Huntington Beach's Central Park Library has a copy as well. Definitely worth reading. Check it out today, or buy a copy at Amazon.com.
